Biography
Chase is a choir director and tenor living in Baltimore, MD. He teaches Middle School Chorus at St. Paul’s Episcopal School for Boys and is the Director of Music at Hunt’s Memorial UMC in Towson. Chase earned his Masters of Music in Choral Conducting at Western Kentucky University in the spring of 2022. He is a three-time Jerry E. Baker Scholarship recipient and worked as a graduate assistant to the choral department and as the Director of Choir and Gathering for St. James United Methodist Church of Bowling Green.
Born and raised in Metro-Detroit, Chase attended Central Michigan University and completed his Bachelors degree in Music Education (with a choral minor) in the spring of 2016. From 2016 to 2020, Chase taught Choir and Orchestra for Mt. Pleasant Public Schools in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He also served as choirmaster of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Chase has prepared and directed school ensembles grades 6-12 in more than 40 concerts and has directed the music of five musicals (The Little Mermaid, Catch Me If You Can, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Newsies Jr. and Guys and Dolls).
